Karen Rice Jensen
SUNSET – Karen Rice Jensen, 66, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011. She was born November 11, 1944 in Ogden, Utah the daughter of Merlin and Della Weaver Harris. Her parents were later divorced and her mother married LeRoy Clark. He treated Karen as if she was his own daughter.
She married Ned Jensen on March 7, 1986 in Ogden, Utah.
Karen was known as the Queen of Clean.
Karen suffered for many years with one serious health issue after another, mostly, related to her heart. But she always pulled through, and came back for more. This was probably due to her special love she had for her daughter, the unwavering devotion her daughter had for her, the unconditional love and support from her husband, and the love for her dogs. She also loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. She appreciated the love and care given by her granddaughter, and namesake, Kara Nichole.
Surviving are her husband Ned Jensen, daughter, Leesa DeSalvo, two grandchildren, Dusten and Nikki, three great-grandchildren, brother, Rod (Diane) Clark, sisters, Carolyn Timm, Judy (Joe) Womack and step-children, Russ, Rick, Rocky, Randy and Wendy.
Preceded in death by her parents and great-granddaughter Kada Hutchinson.
Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
