Karen Jewell Morgan, 69, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 in Alpine, UT. She was born October 7, 1946 in Boston, MA, the daughter of Val Jolley Sheffield and Jewell Cowley Sheffield.
Karen was raised in Salt Lake City, graduated from the University of Utah and Cal State LA. She was a member of the sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many church callings. She loved to laugh, especially at her own bad jokes.
Karen had a long career as a speech therapist. She worked with special needs students during her career and as a pre-kindergarten teacher.
She is survived by her son Matthew (Adina) Morgan, Los Angeles, CA; daughters Jennifer (Scott) Smith, Alpine, UT; Melissa (Boyd) Christensen, Los Angeles, CA; seven grandchildren; and her brothers Matt (Linda) Sheffield, Glendale, CA and Val (Kristin) Sheffield, Iowa.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main Street where friends may visit with the family from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
