Karen A. Sessions
PETERSON – Karen A. Sessions (Poops), age 51, passed away from breast cancer in the loving arms of her husband on Monday, July 9, 2007. She was born July 21, 1955 to Arlo and Bertie Adams. She was raised in Clearfield and graduated from Clearfield High School.
She married Gary Sessions on September 5, 1980 in Evanston, Wyoming. Karen had a tender heart and cared and loved her family and friends and was loved and cherished by them all. Karen loved camping with her husband, gardening and craft work. At the time of her death she was employed at Hill AFB.
Karen is survived by her husband, Gary, of Peterson; daughters Sacha (Greg) Despain, Salt Lake City, and Stacy (Greg) Wynn, Morgan; and sons, Dustin, and Kelly (Chris) Sessions of Clearfield. Also surviving are her two brothers, Alan and James (Shar) Adams, Clearfield; sister-in-law, Linda Adams, Visalia, California, and “Ma” and “Pa,” Dean and Ann Sessions, West Point. Karen has seven grandchildren: Trista, Kiley, Trevor, Brayden, Courtney, Kaitlynn and Cache. She is also survived by Rawland and Judy Lemmons, and LeRoy and Jean Webb, Clinton, and Mark and Mary Sessions, West Point, many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her little poodle, Shadow.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Tom Adams and sister-in-law Cheryl Adams. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Utah Cancer Specialists and Applegate Hospice who cared for her the past several months.
Services will be held Thursday, July 12 2007 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the services at the mortuary.
Interment, West Point City Cemetery.
