Karen Marie Tingey Sherwood

Our loving mama, Karen Marie Tingey Sherwood passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home in Roy, Utah.  She was born March 14, 1943 in Centerville, Utah to Allen Drake and Maxine Cahoon Tingey.  Throughout her life she lived in many cities in Davis County.

Karen married Charles Edson Sherwood in Bountiful, Utah on January 21, 1961.They are the proud parents of two daughters and two sons.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints.

Karen enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and she loved driving with our dad in their semi-truck.

She is survived by her daughters; Kayla Rust (Ted), Kathy Bowers, her son Kevin Sumner Sherwood (Randy), six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, her brother-in-law Jack Sherwood, several nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband Charles,  her parents, three sisters, three brothers, her son Ken and son-in-law Alan Bowers.

Funeral services will be held Monday October 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Rd., Layton, Utah.  Friends may visit with family Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton.
