Karen Ruth Lewis Stott
Karen Ruth Lewis Stott, 68, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, December 24, 2008. She was born in Heber City, Utah on August 10, 1940 to Glen and Lois Lewis.
Karen married and was sealed to George Lee Stott on June 26, 1958 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
She graduated from Davis High School, Class of 58. She worked for over 20 years at First National Bank in Layton.
She was very active in the LDS Church serving numerous positions in Sunday School, Primary, Young Women''s, Library and was a very dedicated Visiting Teacher.
She enjoyed genealogy, scrapbooking and especially enjoyed supporting her grandkids in all their sports and other activities.
Surviving are her husband Lee of Layton; daughter Brenda (Brian) Allan, Layton; son Glen (Sheri) Stott, Layton; brother Charles Duane (Garlyn) Lewis, LaMesa, CA; six grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Glenda Kay, brother and sister-in-law Don and Sherry Lewis.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist''s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Chris Merkley, IHC Hospice, and all the personnel at McKay-Dee Hospital that helped with her care.
