Karen Olson Windley

January 29, 1961 ~ March 6, 2017

Karen Olson Windley passed away on March 6, 2017. She was born on January 29, 1961 in Ogden, Utah, to Hartley and Margaret Olson. She graduated from Bonneville High and Stevens Henager Business College.

She was a member of the Farr West 4th Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Karen married Allen Windley on September 26, 1980, in the Ogden Utah LDS Temple. She was the proud mother of three boys. Her kids and grandkids were her whole world.

Karen is survived by her husband, Allen; her sons, Michael, Jason (Audrey), and Tyler; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Christopher, Kylee, and one on the way; her sister, Judy (Brent) Taylor; her mother-in-law, Elaine Windley; brothers-in-law, David and Brian Windley, and Tony Lofgren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sandra; and her father-in-law, LaMar.

She made many friends wherever she went.

The family would like to thank the rescue crews from Weber Fire District and Ogden City Fire and the doctors and nurses at Ogden Regional for their care of Karen.

In lieu of flowers please call your local branch to donate to a memorial fund at Wasatch Peaks Credit Union under the name of Karen Windley to help with funeral expenses.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11 a.m. the Farr West Stake Center, 2132 West 2700 North.  Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the church.  Interment, Hooper City Cemetery.
