Kari Gardner
WASHINGTON TERRACE – Kari Gardner, 21, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011. She was born on March 5, 1990 in Washington Terrace, Utah where she grew up and attended school.
She deeply cherished friends, family members and relationships and longed so much to live a normal life full of happiness and success yet was shackled with a lifelong bipolar disorder. She battled all of her life to overcome the adverse effects of the disease but eventually succumbed to the illness, but in passing she left a note expressing her love for friends and family.
She loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and long walks to cope with the effects of her illness. She also loved music and singing and found great comfort in both.
She was extremely intelligent and loved to learn. She enjoyed her major in the Criminal Justice Program at Weber State University where she enjoyed her professors and developed many friendships.
She enjoyed family vacations and recently returned from a week long family to Teton, Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.
She is survived by her parents Ken and FaNette Gardner of Washington Terrace, her birth mother Koreeanne Cutts, brother Spencer of Roy, grandparents, Ron and Clarice Perry, Geniel Ellsworth, John Cutts, Lee Odekirk, Jill Aldrich, Aunt Ally Aldrich, Uncle Cody Aldrich, Uncle Brandon Cutts, and Aunt Morgan Sheppard.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Washington Terrace 12th Ward Chapel, 125 East 5350 So., Washington Terrace, Utah. Friends may visit family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
