Karl Wallace passed away peacefully on Monday, February 9, 2015.  Shortly after the football season and in his, final days Karl enjoyed watching the playoffs and the Broncos.  He spent many years coaching little league football in Washington Terrace.  It was a great love of his, which he instilled that love of activity and sport in many.

He was born Karl Wallace Hickenlooper in Ogden, Utah on May 27, 1934 to Karl Thomas Hickenlooper and Lottie Ward.  In 1958 he changed his name to Karl Wallace.  He earned degrees from U of U and Loyola School of Dentistry.  In 1965 he opened his dental practice in Washington Terrace and served the community for 25 successful years.

It was in Chicago that Karl met his first wife Barbara Jones where she was studying to become a nurse.  After marriage, two boys Mark and Brian, and graduation they moved back to Washington Terrace.  In 1975 Karl married Joelene Parrish Propst and together they raised Scott, Jeff and Natalie.

Karl is survived by his boys, Jeff (Claudia Beqaj), Scott (Jeff Cleaveland), Brian (Suzanne), and Mark (Dona), and his grandchildren, Tristen, Gabriella, Tanner, and Wyatt Warner.

Karl was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jocelyn, Suzanne (Jessup), and Hope (Hoover), and daughter,  Natalie (Warner).

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 16, 2015 at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. The family will meet with friends on Monday from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.
