Karla Griffin ROBERTSON, Wyo. – Karla Griffin passed away Saturday, June 30, 2007 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Weber, Utah. She was born June 7, 1965 in Ogden, to Don Lewis and Marilyn Kunz Griffin. She recently resided at her cabin at 9,020 feet on Solitude Ridge, Uinta, Wyoming. She had lived in Millville, UT; Riverside, ID; and Joshua Tree, CA. Karla was born with Down Syndrome and lived with her parents all of her life. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Karla possessed a gentle, happy disposition. There was a smile for everyone who entered the room. Her interests were watching wildlife, flowers and aircraft aerobatics. She enjoyed hiking, camping, sailing and being with family. She loved to sometimes be by herself and play with strings or shoelaces. She is survived by her parents; one brother, Kent (Liz de Forest), Santa Monica, CA; three sisters, Tana (Max) Sorenson, Clarkston, WA; Donette (Mark) Hurst, Layton, UT; Jacqui (John) Ruckstuhl, Thornton, CO; and 10 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by twin nephews and four grandparents. Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 5 at 10 a.m. at the West Weber, Weber, Utah Cemetery. She will be buried beside her grandparents. The family expresses thanks to the staff at McKay-Dee Hospital ICU for their professional care and kindness of Karla while in their care.
