Karma P. Jones

Karma P. Jones OGDEN – Karma L. Petersen Jones, 91, passed away Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Ogden Regional Medical Center from causes incident to age. She was born July 4, 1916 in Logan, Utah, the fifth child of Charles E. and Ida Rose Beutler Petersen. She was raised and educated in Logan. On May 15, 1934, Karma married Myrl H. Jones. Myrl preceded her in death on December 30, 1983. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mom and Dad made many trips to Mexico, for which she learned Spanish from records and books. She loved to fish and go to Wendover. She was an excellent cook and loved trying new recipes. Her home and family were her life. Surviving are her daughters, Gloria (LaVall) Taylor, North Ogden; Jerine (Lloyd) Barney, Plain City; four grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and one sister. Karma was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one brother and four sisters. We wish to thank social services at Ogden Regional Medical Center and Applegate Hospice for their special help. Graveside services will be held Monday at 12 noon at the Providence Cemetery.
