Kathaleen (Kay) Burt Johnson
February 22, 1921 ~ March 10, 2009
CLEARFIELD – Kathaleen was born February 22, 1921 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas Stevenson and Teressa Anna Fife Burt.
She retired from Hill Air Force Base in 1991 after working there for 24 years. She then served as the president of the auxillay unit of the Davis Hospital and Medical Center and a volunteer and manager of the gift shop. She spent six years as a dedicated volunteer and enjoyed every minute of it.
Kathleen also enjoyed her responsibilities as president of numerous organizations including 4-H, Relief Society, Young Women and PTA. She was exceptionally creative especially with crocheting, sewing, painting and ceramics. Her 10 grandchildren were a very special part of her life and she leaves us with many wonderful memories.
Kathaleen is survived by son, Blaine Johnson (Vickie); daughter, Rae Ottenbreit (Rod); daughter, KaeLynne Garcia (Raymond); brother, Thomas Dean Burt (Betty); and brother, Donald Fife Burt (Marjorie). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Her mother, father, and two brothers preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
We will always remember the twinkle in her eyes, smile on her face and warmth in her heart.
