Katherine Yukiko Hall, 62, passed away in her sleep early Thursday, June 28, 2012 after a courageous two-year battle against pancreatic cancer.

She was born October 17, 1949, in Ogden, Utah, the eldest daughter of Utaka and Martha Misao Yamamoto Harada.

Kathy graduated from Roy High School in 1967.

She married at the age of 18 and moved to Chicago, where she lived for over ten years before returning to Utah to be closer to family.

Her quick mind was always looking for the next challenge, and as a result she experienced many interesting occupations. She was always proud of her work in law enforcement, where she excelled as a dispatcher for numerous police and fire departments over the years.

Kathy retired as the Executive Secretary for the Clinton City Police Department in the summer of 2011.

She was an amazing cook, a talented seamstress, and had attitude enough for someone twice her size. She enjoyed travel (and shopping!), and treating others to the best of everything she could offer.

Surviving are her children; her mother, Martha; one brother and one sister; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.

Family will greet friends Sunday, July 1st from 6 to 8p.m. at Lindquist''s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.

In lieu of flowers or Koden, donations may be made to the charity of choice.

Private services will be held at a later date.

Cremation entrusted to Lindquist''s Crematory.
