Kathleen D. Amesquita
LAYTON a" Beloved mother, daughter, sister and grandmother, Kathleen Dorthea Amesquita, 64, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2009.
She was born on July 12, 1945 in Palo Alto, California the daughter of Richard and Adelaide Lewis Collins.
Kathy married John Amesquita in 1964 in Reno, Nevada.
She was a member of the LDS Church. She loved the church, especially singing hymns.
Kathy had a love of the Spanish language, attended BYU and was a true blue Cougar fan. She made friends every where she went and everyone loved her. We will miss her sense of humor and warmth. Kathy dedicated her life to taking care of others and the last few years her mother.
Surviving are her mother, Adelaide Collins, three daughters, Kristin (James) Day, Keri Sekulich, Kymmy (Spencer Larget) Amesquita, siblings, Michael (Marianne) Collins, Sharon (Steven) Grigg, Mark (Barbara) Collins, Mary (Wendell) Curry, special "sisters", Gloria Amesquita, Peggy McLain, grandchildren, Miranda Jaques, Conor Day, Samantha Day, Ivan Sekulich, Katherine Larget, Lucy Larget, aunt, Mary Silling and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her father, Richard Collins and nephew, Dane Curry.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, October 1, 2009 at 12 noon at the Adamswood Ward, 1410 E. Gentile, Layton. Friends and family may call one hour prior to services at the church.

The family would like to thank Hospice for Utah and Rocky Mtn. Care Center for their loving care of Kathy.
