Kathleen Brown Davis
Kathleen Brown Davis, “Kathy”, passed away on November 12, 2014 after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s.
Kathy was born and raised in Ogden the eldest daughter of the local entrepreneur E. L. Brown. She attended the then new, Ogden High School. Kathy married Edward Davis on August 17, 1946. They had four children, Steven, Allan, Terry, and Russ while living in Ogden, UT. They remained married until Ed passed away in 1994. Allan passed away in 2004. Kathy is survived by Steven and his wife Gail, Terry and her husband Chris, and Russ and his wife Joan. Kathy and Ed had four children, seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Most recently Kathy lived in Grand Junction, CO where she was “resident of the month” at Aspen Ridge Special Care Unit before Alzheimer’s made that too difficult and Terry brought her into her home where she and Chris cared for her.
Kathy was active in Beta Sigma Phi sorority for many decades. She had a green thumb and loved to do crafts. While the kids were growing up, Kathy and Ed enjoyed showing the four kids many parts of the country and camping out. In their retirement years, they continued to enjoy traveling in their motorhome.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Kathy will be laid to rest with Ed on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
