Kathleen Davis
June 15, 1950 ~ December 20, 2020
Kathleen Davis, 70, passed away on December 20, 2020 at George E. Wahlen Veteran Home. She was born on June 15, 1950 in Logan, Utah, the daughter of Kenneth Leon and Phyllis Bertha Mendelkow Palmer.
She married Robert L. Davis on March 19, 1976 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
She enjoyed gardening and yard work, but was truly an animal person and loved to take care of them all from cats and dogs, to pigs, chickens, ducks, and lambs! Most of all she was an outdoors girl, camping, boating, fishing, and swimming. But the top of the list was cruising the trails in the 4-wheeler, RZR, or Jeep, searching for wild life such as deer, elk, moose or anything else she came across while finding new sites and adventures. Her favorite rides were Monte Crisco to Bear Lake or Hardware Ranch. She also enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles and word search books in her leisure time.
Besides being a house wife she worked for more than 25 years at local retail stores starting at the Layton Dairy Queen to her final job at the Newgate Mall Dollar Tree until October 2006 when she had to take a disability retirement due to staph infection from a double knee surgery. During those 25 years of work she worked for IRS, fabric shop, was a bus aide, Country Cuzzins, K-Mart, and Dollar Tree.
Kathleen is survived by her husband, Bob; sons, Tommy Davis and Wade (Akiko) Davis; and daughter, Lisa Davis; three grandchildren; brothers, Boyd (Gwen) Palmer, Steve (BJ) Nebeker, Mark Nebeker, and Golden Nebeker; and sisters, Julie (Allen) Roundy and Kenna Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bob Palmer, Francis Palmer; and sister, Kay Nebeker.
