Kathleen “Kat” Lanier

Kathleen “Kat” Lanier passed peacefully, at the age of 72, Monday, August 8, 2022 at Willow Glen Health and Rehab in Brigham City, Utah.

Born to Arlene Annie Lanier and Harry Lanier on June 7, 1950, Kat grew up in Ogden, Utah and spent time in Arkansas as a child. During her later years she moved to Honeyville, Utah where she was loved by many in the small community including her best friends Lisa and Patrice.

Kat had a lively and vivacious personality that was contagious to all. She was friend to everyone and never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. She loved to garden and spend time outdoors. Her passions included reggae and blues music and animals, especially CATS! Her pride and joy were her children and grandchildren.

Preceded by her parents and brother, Earl Lanier. Survived by her two children, Monica Matherne and Katrina Crompton; her four grandchildren, Vanessa Crompton, Kelsey Spruill, Kailani Crompton and I’likai Crompton and her brothers, Henry and Paul Lanier.

Private funeral services for family and friends will be held at sunset Monday, August 15, 2022 at 2620 West 6980 North, Honeyville, Utah 84314.
