Kathleen Malan Nelson

Kathleen Malan Nelson beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away November 14, 2008.

Kathleen was born December 22, 1922, the fourth child of N. Oscar and Elsie Peterson Malan of the well-known Ogden ''Alphabet Malan Family".

Kathleen was a life-long active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings. She sang beautifully and was frequently asked to sing solos. Most of her callings in the church involved music and she served as Ward Organist and choir member in almost every ward she attended.

She was preceded in death by her husband L. Keith Nelson and is survived by her children Judith Naluai (Hansel), Paul Nelson (Kathy), Richard Nelson, Mark Nelson (Denise), 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Thursday November 20, 2008 at the Bountiful Tabernacle 55 S. Main Street where friends may call from 9:45-10:45 prior to the services. Interment Ogden City Cemetery under the direction of Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary.
