Kathy Sue Dawson, 62, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at McKay-Dee Hospital.

She was born February 24, 1955 in Clinton, Illinois, a daughter of Thomas Herbert and Barbara Cox Evans. She has lived in Clinton, IL, Argenta and for the past 21 years Clinton, Utah.

On January 11, 1975, Kathy married Scott Lyle Dawson in Clinton, Illinois.

She worked in retail and was terminal leader for Bulkmatic Transport. She loved to read novels and decorate her home.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Scott, two daughters, Stephanie (Paul) Martinez, Sunset; Natalie (Doug) Downs, Clinton; five grandchildren, Levi, Franklin, Samuel, Kadence, Nicholas; step-father, James M. Stanley, Oreana, IL; mother-in-law, Shirley Dawson, Oreana, IL; and five brothers, Thomas R. (Tammy) Evans, Billings, MT; James P. Stanley, Mission Viejo, CA; Michael (Glenda) Stanley, Decatur, IL; Steven Johnson, Bristol, VA; and Frank Johnson, Pana, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law, Lyle Dawson, and step-mothers, Emily West and Loretta Johnson.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Wasatch Peak Family Practice and Dr. Kevin Gardner. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends Monday, February 12th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Clinton City Cemetery.
