KATHY DIANE PHILLIPS

1949 – 2016

Kathy Diane Phillips, 66 (39 according to her), passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by loved ones, on August 5, 2016.

Kathy was a beautiful and thoughtful woman whose selflessness and loving nature serves as an example to all who knew her.  Her love of dark chocolate was only superseded by her love of God’s creatures and her family.

Kathy was the foundation and guiding star for her family.  She lived for her 12 grandchildren.  She loved and encouraged the chaos of conversation, play, and laughter.  Kathy endured to the end and told her family, “I will miss you, but I will see you on the other side . . . just don’t be in a hurry.”

Kathy is survived by her husband, Ron; children: Dan (Debbie) Phillips, Deby Thelin, Kim Phillips, Chad (Bree) Phillips; grandchildren:  Kennedy, Brooke, Cole, Ryklee, Lexie, Tyler, Tevacca, Kallie, Max, Harper, Sloane: sister Linda (Frank) Zummo; pets (whom she may have loved most of all):  Riggins, Sammie, Sketch, and Big Girl.

Preceded in death by her grandson Chase.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016, at 10:30 at the LDS chapel at 695 S. 200 E. in Farmington, UT.  A viewing will be held from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.  Services entrusted to Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary.  In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to your local animal adoption center.
