Kathy Ellen Okelberry

Kathy Ellen Okelberry, 60, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017.

She was born abroad July 24, 1957 in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico and was raised by her adoptive parents, Eldon Spencer and Leah (Wadley) Robinson. They lived in Mexico, Pleasant Grove, Orem and North Ogden where the family settled in 1971 and where she met Rocky J. Okelberry in 1972.

On September 26, 1975, Kathy married Rocky in North Ogden, Utah. They raised three children together, settling in Roy in 1986.

Kathy loved cats, horses, and riding 4-wheelers. She excelled at crafts and was a helpful neighbor who enjoyed serving, building and didn’t quit until the work was done.

Kathy didn’t mince words-she was bold and straightforward. She also enjoyed making videos with music of her favorite rides.

A life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kathy had a faithful heart.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Rocky; three children, Jason Okelberry, Roy; Brandon Okelberry, North Ogden; Krystle (Matt) Abbott, Vernal; five grandchildren; and one brother, Gary (Kathy) Robinson, Harrisville. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Eldon “Eldie” Robinson, Jr.
