Kathy Phillips

Kathy Phillips LAYTON – Kathy Phillips, 65, passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2008, of complications after surgery. She was born October 7, 1942 in Tremonton, the daughter of Kenneth J. and Edythe Larsen Smith. She graduated from Davis High School. Kathy married Thomas Phillips in 1970. They had two sons together and later divorced. Kathy recently retired from the IRS. She loved spending time with her family, music, shopping, jewelry, flowers and decorating for holidays. Her sons and grandchildren were her “pride and joy!” Surviving are her son Kyle (Melissa), Roy; four grandchildren, Adia, Brylee, Liam, Keaton, one brother, Chad (Fran) Smith, Bountiful; two sisters, Joyce (Bill) Favero, Layton; Susan (Bruce) Petersen, Layton; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, one son, Jeffrey Thomas and niece, Cindy Rose. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 5, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
