OGDEN - Katie June Wadsworth Farber was born June 26, 1912 in Connor Creek (Elba), Idaho to Ray William Wadsworth and Clara Elzina Jorgensen, and on Good Friday, April 2, 2010, she finally went home to be with her family from whom she was separated at 14 years of age.

Katie was a gifted artist and musician. She left a legacy of beautiful oil and water color paintings. Katie sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, as did her Mother and Grandmother before her. Katie was a cosmetology instructor at the Ogden Beauty School and at the Utah School for the Deaf where she also taught art. She taught art lessons in a studio at her home in South Ogden where she owned and operated Kate''s Beauty Shop. She loved people and had a gift for listening to their concerns while reading their palms and cards. As busy as she was, she always made time for her family. She is survived by her son, Paul Allan (Joan) Farber and her daughter, Gail June (Claude) Frederick, eight grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Allan J. Farber who passed away May 27, 1969, her sisters; Neta, Harriet, Bernice and Iris, and her brothers; Eugene, Larry and Donald.

We are especially thankful for the loving care given to Katie by the staff at the Gardens Assisted Living. Katie will be laid to rest at her husband''s side at the Ogden City Cemetery where a brief graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 2 p.m.
