ROY – Our loving mother and grandmother, Katie Koga, 97 passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at her home in Roy.  She was born on November 5, 1918 in Idaho Falls, ID, the first daughter of Yoshio Hanzawa and Buhei Sato.

On February 10, 1943, Katie married Tosh Koga in Idaho Falls, ID.

Katie was employed at JC Penney Co., American Food Store, and retired from Hill Air Force Base.

Surviving are her one daughter and two sons, Kathryn Baba, Stockton, CA; Roger (Jolene) Koga, Ogden; and Harold Hal Koga, Roy; four grandchildren, Randy (Rana) Baba, Michelle (Darren) Nomura, Kristin (Michael) Koga-London, and Korbie (Cassie) Koga; four great-grandchildren, Skyler Koga London, Jayden London, Riley Nomura, and Makaela Nomura; great-great-grandchildren, Kingston Jax Koga, Reid Baba, Kai Koga, and Lylah London.  She was preceded in death by her son, Ron Koga; and husband, Tosh Koga.

The family wishes to express thanks to Intermountain Hospice especially Ashley & Tiffany, and also to the Visiting Angels.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
