Kay D. Matteucci

January 17, 1933 ~ August 20, 2015

On Thursday, August 20, 2015, surrounded by her four daughters, Kay Donaldson Matteucci, 82, returned to her Heavenly Father. The oldest of four children, she was born in Ogden, Utah on January 17, 1933, the daughter of Walter and Ada Perry Donaldson.

She grew up in South Ogden and graduated from Weber High School in 1951. She worked at IRS for many years and retired in 1993.

On April 4, 1953, Kay married Alberico "Poly" Matteucci. They were later sealed as a family in the Logan LDS Temple.  She was active in the LDS Church and had a fervent testimony of eternal families.  She served in many callings throughout her life. She served a mission with her husband in the North Carolina, Raleigh Mission. She was a faithful visiting teacher for many years. She was a volunteer at the Ogden LDS temple and was a Pink Lady at Ogden Regional Hospital.

Above all else, Kay loved spending time with her family.  One of her favorite traditions was to spend a week in Park City with her children, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.  She recently returned from this annual trip, so happy she was able to go "one last time."  She enjoyed camping, long car rides in the mountains, studying the Book of Mormon, and chocolate.

Kay is survived by her children, Debbie and John Jones, Shelley Dockstader, Kathy and Mike Allred, Julie Flitton, and her sisters, Ann Prescott and Pat Wilkins. She has 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.

She was preceded in death by her husband, brother W. Dee Donaldson, son-in-law Bob Dockstader, grandson Parker Alberico Allred, stepson Joe Matteucci, and lifetime friend Barbara Trimble.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.  The family will meet with friends Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist's Washington Heights Memorial Park,  4500 Washington Blvd.
