Kaycee R. Barnett
Centerville, Utah - Kaycee Reynolds Barnett, 28, passed away from heart failure resulting from a back infection on January 23, 2015.
Kaycee was a bright light and an old soul, warm and caring to those she came in contact with, sensitive to the pain and struggles of others, and quick to look past the flaws to the core good in people. She demonstrated unusual courage to overcome some of life’s toughest challenges. Her mission and life goal was to be a mother, fulfilled through the birth of two beautiful and healthy children who Kaycee loved more than life.
Kaycee was the wife of Andrew Steven Barnett and the mother of 7 month old Laney Kay Barnett and 3 year old Jack Andrew Barnett. Kaycee was born on April 1, 1986 in Bountiful, Utah to Robert K. and Nancy S. Reynolds. She attended grade school and junior high in Centerville, and Bountiful High School, where she was a varsity cheerleader. Her greatest joy in those years was teaching young girls dance and gymnastics. She and Andrew were best friends and lifetime soul mates, spiritually and legally sealed on November 14, 2009 in the Bountiful LDS Temple.
Kaycee goes ahead with her grandmother Marilyn James to prepare the way for her husband, children, parents and siblings Kyle (Kenan) Reynolds, Ashley (Dustin) Dickamore, and Eric Reynolds, as well Andrew’s parents Steve and Jennifer Barnett, and Andrew’s siblings Siena (Matt) Hawkes, Josh and Joey Barnett, both currently serving LDS missions. Kaycee is also survived by maternal grandparents Evan and Geraldine Shirley, and Andrew’s grandparents Lynn and Diane Barnett, and a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Kaycee will be missed deeply, but will be honored by all those who loved her by the way we move ahead and carry her loving spirit.
