Kaz Fukuda
OGDEN - Kaz Fukuda passed away peacefully on December 9, 2009 at Emeritus Estates at the age of 93. He was born July 10, 1916 to Otojiro and Shizue Fukuda in Mt. Vernon, Washington where his father delivered him.
Kaz will always be remembered by his generosity, friendly smile and his hearty wave to all of his neighbors as he walked his daily two miles. He always had time to stop and chit-chat with everyone, making sure that everything is going well with them. If not, he would try to help them in any way he could. When Kaz and Martha decided to become residents of Emeritus Estates, Kaz donated, planted and nurtured a vegetable garden, so the cooks could prepare meals with fresh vegetables.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Enomoto, of sixty-four years, three children Dale, Joyce Matsuyama, and Don, eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister Kiyo Morishita, brothers Tak and Mas, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude and thanks to the loving staff of Emeritus Estates and Applegate Hospice.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no services.
Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
