Kazue Tadokoro Mortenson
“Kay”
Kazue Tadokoro Mortenson, passed away, Friday, December 21, 2018 in Bountiful, Utah.
She was the daughter of Taizo Tadokoro and Ko Nomura, born August 16, 1933 in Tamamura Machi, Japan. Kay married Dean Mortenson, on March 5, 1956 at the American Embassy in Tokyo, Japan, and later solemnized in the Hawaiian Temple. She became a US citizen in San Francisco, California.
Kay enjoyed sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She was a hard worker and not only took care of her own home and family but helped others with housekeeping in their homes as well.
She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in the Bountiful Temple as an ordinance worker for two years.
Kay is survived by her husband Dean; children Rosanna (Gene) Page, Norman Mortenson, and Angela Mortenson; four grandchildren, one brother and two sisters. Preceded in death by her parents, a sister, three brothers, son Jeffrey and a grandson Nathan.
Kay’s family would like to thank Avalon Care Center for their loving care of Kay for the last four years.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 1640 E. Lakeview Dr. Bountiful, Utah. A visitation will be held at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. from 9:30 to 10:30 am prior to graveside services.
