Keith Allen Bach

Keith Allen Bach Keith Allen Bach passed away on August 14, 2009 at his home in Vista, California. He was surrounded by his wife Rosa, his daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Paul Weber, and his faithful furry companions, two miniature dachshunds - Sunny Schnitzel and Bachers. In his passing, he leaves a great void and will be dearly missed. Dad’s earthly life began on December 18, 1922 in Oakley, Idaho where he was born to Allen and Nan Bach. Dad spent most of his adolescent years working on the family farm in Oakley before moving to Salt Lake City and graduating from West High School in 1939. After high school, he served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and later worked at the Union Pacific railroad for twenty years before opening his own painting and construction business. Dad was a very hard worker with a strong work ethic who enjoyed building quality homes and having the fruits of his labor evident for many generations to come. As an employer, he took pride in teaching young men the construction trade and cared deeply about his employees. When he had spare time, he enjoyed gardening and took pride in growing vegetables and maintaining a well kept yard. Dad married Rosa Magdalene Walton on April 19, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Logan Temple. They were blessed with a son Billy and a daughter Nancy. Initially, the family lived in the Rose Park area of Salt Lake City but in 1961 moved to “Happy Homes” in Kaysville. Dad and Mom made many dear friends and remained in their home until 2005 when Dad was no longer physically able take care of the home. Although they did not want to leave their home and friends in Kaysville, they recognized that it was necessary due to Dad’s failing health. Dad had long wanted to live in Southern, California and was able to realize his dream and live with his daughter and son-in-law. In addition to his wife, daughter and son-in-law, Dad is survived by his younger brother, Jerry F. Bach of Centerville. Dad was preceded in death by his parents (Nan and Allen), by his youngest brother (Robert) and by his son (Billy). Funeral services will be held Friday, August 21, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Kaysville Mortuary, 400 North Main. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
