Keith Earl Chadwick
September 14, 1926 ~ November 14, 2014
NORTH OGDEN – Our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather Keith Earl Chadwick passed away peacefully from natural causes at the age of 88. He was born on September 14, 1926 in North Ogden, the son of Abraham Earl and Ruth Lundstedt Chadwick, and was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and a brother and his son.
Keith married LouJean Dinsdale on August 1, 1949 in the Logan LDS Temple. They had three children, Karen (Steve) Thomas, Teri (Carl) Whiteley, and Michael Chadwick (deceased).
Keith spent his early childhood working alongside his father on the farm caring for the family’s rare Red Poll cattle. Upon graduation from Weber High School he enlisted in the Navy at age 17 during WWII serving as an Aviation Radioman/Gunner. After discharge he attended and graduated from Weber State College and was employed at DDO and later at Hill Air Force Base as a base photographer. He was also a watchmaker for John’s Jewelry and Zales in Hawaii. He enjoyed tinkering with cars in his spare time, and could fix anything, usually in a resourceful way quite often involving duct tape and a golf tee.
Dad was soft spoken and a man of few words. He was always there in times of need for strangers as well as family and friends. He is survived by his daughters, nine grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Our family would like to give special thanks to Quail Meadow Assisted Living and AFI Advanced Care Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
