Keith "Bud" Earl Chase

Keith “Bud” Earl Chase OGDEN – Bud was born in Ogden, Utah on May 7, 1924, and died peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, April 26, 2010, at Emeritus Assisted Living where he resided. Bud spent most of his life in Ogden, and served with the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He married his high school sweetheart, Erma Beesley in 1945, and spent many happy times for almost 65 years. Together they were blessed and raised three children. Erma preceded him in death in April of 2008. Bud operated a barbershop in downtown Ogden, and later he owned and operated Bud’s Drive Inn. Except for the last few years, Bud enjoyed golf and always looked forward to playing the game with friends. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Bud was proud of his children and loved every minute he could spend with them, their spouses, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter. He was very fond of the families and children in his neighborhood. He will be missed by many but he left us all with memories that will be treasured forever. Surviving are his three children, Cheryl (Dave) Spencer, Longview, WA, Russell Chase and Kay, both of Ogden; his grandchildren, Tracy Lasater, Vancouver, WA, Travis (Sheyna) Clements, Kelsie Simpson, and great-granddaughter, Reese, all of Ogden. Also surviving is his brother, Val Chase. He was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Arvilla Chase, wife Erma, and his sister LaDean. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., where Military Honors will be accorded by the Combined Veterans Honor Guard. A sincere appreciation goes out to the staff of Hospice for Utah and Emeritus Estates Assisted Living for the kindness, patience, care and understanding they gave to our dad. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice for Utah, 893 – 24th St. Ste. 102, Ogden, UT 84401. Send condolences to the family at: www.lindquistmortuary.com
