Keith Beus Kendell

April 1, 1927 ~ December 16, 2017

Keith Beus Kendell passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017 surrounded by family members. He was born on April 1, 1927 to Job Pingree and Cora Beus Kendell in South Weber, Utah where Keith lived his entire life.

Keith married Evelyn Harris on August 18, 1951. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. Keith and Evelyn were together for 64 years until she passed away in May of 2016. Together they raised five children and their descendents include 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. We are blessed to have had him in our lives. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. We find comfort in Keith’s reunion with Evelyn.

Keith was a quiet and reserved man. He was loyal and friendly among family and trusted friends. Keith worked on his family farm in his youth; he later attended Weber College and became a draftsman and structural engineer. Keith worked for Associated Builders, Marquardt Corporation, and retired after almost 40 years of service from GSL Minerals and Chemical Corporation. He also drafted house plans for local contractors.

After retirement, Keith and Evelyn traveled and spent their winters in Arizona as “Snow Birds”. Keith enjoyed planting a garden each year and sharing the harvest with family and friends. He found joy tinkering on the farm with his tractor and golf cart.

Keith was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed attending church services, serving in his callings, and he was a devoted home teacher.

Keith is survived by his children, Susan Carr, Kris (Dave) Laub, Casey (Janet) Kendell, Randy (Domoina) Kendell, and Anita Anaya. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, parents, siblings, and two sons-in-law.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Uintah Cemetery.
