Keith Karl Krukow
Keith Karl Krukow, age 46, of Clearfield, Utah died on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Rocky Mountain Care Center. Keith was a life-long victim of the terrible disease, Diabetes, which over time robbed him of his legs, some fingers, his kidneys and vision. His hands were crippled and he suffered vascular disease. Keith was born in Long Beach, CA of parents Judith and Thomas Krukow of Bellflower, CA, where he attended grade school through high school with his sister Karen and brothers Kevin and Kenneth. Keith excelled in graphic arts, winning awards and commendations.
Being different from his siblings in what he could eat and do didn’t stop him from being generous of his time, experience and care for the plight of others. While short in stature, he had a huge heart and a wondrous way with children. He worked and lived in California, Tennessee and Kentucky, where he specialized in maintenance and equipment repair for several companies; and in Clinton, UT, where, in his off time, he created graphic art images on mirrors, played chess, and visited handicapped patients to show them that they could live a full life. When he eventually had to be admitted to Rocky Mountain Care nursing home, due to continually declining health, he made a place in the hearts of other patients, staff and visitors, by taking to them, teaching them, listening and caring for them like family.
Keith is survived by his parents Judith and Thomas Krukow, of Apache Junction, AZ; his sister, Karen Gillispie of Chino Hill, CA; Kevin Krukow, of Mesa, AZ; Kenneth Krukow, of Clinton, UT; and four nieces, eight nephews and four great-nieces.
Cremation under the direction of Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
Our thanks to the management and staff of Rocky Mountain Care for their care of Keith during his five years stay in the nursing home in Clearfield, UT.
Keith, you are back in the will. God and All notice your life of Loving consideration, Helper and Friend. We will miss you dearly.
