Keith H. Ricker LAYTON - Keith H. Ricker, 88, passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Rocky Mountain Care – Clearfield, Utah. He was born September 20, 1919 in Rochester, New Hampshire, the son of Beatrice Leavitt and Roland Ricker. Keith married Argie Mabel Bernard on March 15, 1940 in Rochester, New Hampshire. Argie died in 1968. Keith married Lucille Janet Reisewitz on December 5, 1969 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple. Surviving are his wife, Lucille, Layton, Utah; one daughter, Shirley Fixmer (Larry), Sandy, Utah; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three step-children, Tim (Bonnie) Trent, Orem, Utah; Connie (Scott) Snider, Springville, Utah; and Mark (Mary) Trent, St. George, Utah; and 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Kenneth S. Ricker. He served his country in WWII and received many medals including Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon; National Defense Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star; Vietnam Service Medal; Air Force Commendation Medal SO G586, Ha 7AF; and the Air Force Longevity Regiment and the 79th Recon (Cross of Larraine) Division and served in France, Belgium, Holland, Germany and Czechoslovakia. He also served in Vietnam, during which time he received a Commendation Medal at a ceremony held in Washington D.C. April 10, 1967. He also served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A very special thank you to Rocky Mountain Care – Clearfield’s nursing staff; Dr. Charles Berwald and Utah Hospice Specialists for the Tender loving care Keith received in the past months. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road, with Bishop Michael Hansen officiating. Friends and family may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road where military honors will be accorded by Hill Air Force Base Honor Guard.
