Kelly Robert Bodily passed away December 7, 2020. Kelly was born on November 16, 1967 at the Dee Hospital, Ogden, UT. He grew up in Layton. He played baseball and basketball for North Layton Jr. High and loved sports with a passion. Anyone that knew Kelly, knew he was a loyal fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, throughout his entire life. He also loved to watch and root for the Buffalo Bills football team.
In Kelly’s twenties he became passionate about lifting weights and going to the gym. You could tell by his physic, that he knew what he was doing through weight lifting. Also, in his adult life he started working for Smiths warehouse in Layton and was later transferred to Corona, California and worked as a lead there. From there the warehouse closed and he was transferred back to Layton. Later he worked for Americold in Clearfield, Utah. He was a hard worker. Kelly will be missed.
At the age of 36, Kelly became a father to Kayleigh Bodily, whom he loved and adored like nothing else, including the Los Angeles Dodgers. You could see in his eyes his love for his daughter.
He is survived by the love of his life his daughter Kayleigh, his mother, Mary Ann Bodily Edwards, siblings, Sherlene Perkins (Larry), Jolene Marusa (Mark - deceased), Dean Bodily (Diane), and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and his beloved dog, Bailey.
Kelly was preceded in death by his father Verl Dallas Bodily, at the young age of 15. Also preceded in death by his sister Verlena Mayer, nephews Jimmy Mayer, Nathan Boren, niece Stacey Mayer, Stacey Mayer’s son, Brian James, brothers-in-law, Jimmy Mayer Sr. and Mark Marusa.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends may visit family from 10 to 10: 45 a.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
