C. Kelly Newman BOUNTIFUL – C. Kelly Newman, 67, passed away October 15, 2007 at his home in Bountiful, Utah. He was born April 21, 1940 in Bountiful, Utah the son of Arthur and Alice Riley Newman. He married Linda G. Morgan, October 14, 1960 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Kelly was a life, long resident of Bountiful. He graduated Magna Cum Laud from the University of Utah. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served for over 40 dedicated years in the Boy Scout program, receiving the Silver Beaver Award. He enjoyed spending time with his family at their cabin in the Uintahs where he was a member of the Manor Lands Water Board. He was a Bar J Wrangler groupie, a crossword puzzle junkie and collector of “perfectly good” things. Kelly is survived by Linda, his wife of 47 years; his children Derek (Bonnie), Mitchell, Patrick (Libby), and Julie; five grandchildren, Riley, Chase Kelly, Davis, Luke and Zoe. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law Stephanie Newman. Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, October 20, 2007 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where friends may call Friday from 6-8 pm and Saturday 9:30-10:30 am prior to services.
