Kelly Marshall Thiel Sr.

Oct. 17, 1955 – Jan. 25, 2020

Kelly Marshall Thiel Sr., 64, beloved son, brother, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on January 25, 2020 in Clearfield, Utah.

He was born October 17, 1955 in Ogden, Utah the son of Vincent Raymond and Nedra Maxine Williams Thiel.

Kelly married Shirley Ann Thiel on February 14, 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Kelly was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He attended Ben Lomond High School.  Kelly loved playing, watching and anything to do with sports.  He was a dedicated fan of the New York Yankees and the University of Utah.

He retired in 2015 from the Union Pacific Railroad.

Kelly, you will be deeply missed, we love you.

His grandchildren and great-granddaughter were the joy of his life.  He leaves behind his sweet wife, Shirley, children, Kelly (Danita) Thiel, Kamilyn (Matthew) Huff, seven grandchildren, one great-grandchild and brother, Raymond Thiel.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Kennidee Thiel, parents and sister.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Memorial Park at Layton, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.  Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family directly following the service at the LDS Chapel located at 2679 S. 1000 W. Syracuse, Utah.
