Kenneth Clair Andrews

March 11, 1949 — June 7, 2024

Kenneth Clair Andrews, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and grandfather, passed away after a brief battle with Lewey Body Dementia, in Farmington, Utah, on June 7, 2024. He was born on March 11, 1949, to Donald Leo and Clara Lundstrom Andrews. He is the second son of five boys.

Ken grew up in South Ogden, graduating from Bonneville High School in 1967. He was always proud to be a member of the boys choir, basketball team and serving as Student Body President at South Ogden Jr High for two years.

Ken was an accomplished and avid golfer. His passion for golf started at an early age when he would sneak onto the Ogden Golf and Country Club, which often resulted in him being escorted out. Finally, they gave him a job at the Club as a caddy. While still young he worked for Ernie Schneiter Sr. at Riverside Golf Course. He attended Weber State College, playing on the men’s golf team  and then worked at the OGCC as an Assistant Pro for Jerry Comer. Later, he was named the Golf Professional at Round Valley in Morgan, Utah.

Ken joined the Army National Guard Reserves and was proud to be Airborne and a Green Beret.

On January 26, 1973, Kenneth married Kathleen Ann Pattillo, beginning a life together that would bring two children, Carlie and Curtis to the world, and six grandchildren. Their marriage was centered around their children and their love of golf.

Ken’s ultimate dream was achieved when he and his family joined the Ogden Golf and Country Club, enjoying 40 years as members. Another of his passions was having a beautiful yard. It was always perfectly manicured and cared for. Ken was actively engaged in his family’s lives, making sure they were loved and safe.

He worked for Barnes Aerospace, formerly, Flameco Engineering in marketing and sales, forming many lasting friendships. He retired in January 2014.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Kathleen and their two children: Carlie (Ryan) Winlock, WA and Curtis (Alison) South Jordan, UT. His brothers, Michael (Leslie), David (Ann), Christopher (Maureen) and Kelly (Paula) Andrews. He has six grandchildren: Isabel, Taylor and Cole Langhaim, and Carson, Maxwell and Booker Andrews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
