Our father and friend, Kenneth Buckway “Pappy”, 83, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2015.  Kenneth was born to Jacob and Anneke Buckway in Ogden, Utah.

Ken married Shirley Mae Hone, the love of his life, in 1951.  Together they had three children, Carl J. (Margaret) Buckway, Rex (Mary Beth) Buckway, and Shirlene (Wesley) Coates.  They have 10 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

He was employed at South Ogden City as the Public Works Supervisor and retired in 1983.

Ken loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.  His greatest joy was helping his family.

Ken is survived by his loving wife, children and spouses, and grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his five brothers, and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.  Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.
