Kenneth Maynard Hatcher

Kenneth Maynard Hatcher, 85, of Lewiston, Idaho, passed away in Bountiful, Utah, Sunday June 9, 2019 after losing his battle with cancer.
Ken was born May 15, 1934 in Jacksonville, Illinois. He graduated from Lanphier High School in Springfield, Illinois and soon after graduation enlisted in the United States Navy along with three of his best buddies.  He married Marilyn Ruth Wheeler May 1, 1954.
After receiving training in electronics and radio communications from the Navy, Ken spent nearly all his career happily working as the Communications Engineer for the US Forest Service in Grangeville.  After retiring in 1994 Ken continued to work with emergency teams assigned to natural disasters and, of course, forest fires through 2017.
Ken is survived by his wife of 65 years, Marilyn, and children: Bryan Hatcher, Kendalyn Hill (David), Lisa Banks, Melinda Faller (Marty), Carolyn Curti (Mark), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Ken was preceded in death by his eldest son, Leland (Lee) Hatcher and youngest daughter, Cheryl Hatcher.

Viewing at 9:30 to 10:45 AM with funeral following at 11:00 AM June 19 2019 at the Lewiston LDS Church / Stake Center  836 Preston Ave. (Corner of Preston & Thain Road).  Interment at 12:30 pm at Normal Hill Cemetery with Military Honors.
