Kenneth Shawn Haycock

Kenneth Shawn Haycock, age 45, passed away November 29, 2010.

Shawn was born December 2, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Kenneth Reid and Mary Elizabeth Darlington Haycock. He married Ruth Ann Nielsen, June 29, 1991 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He graduated from Granite High School, U of U, and University of Phoenix. He was a senior project manager for Big D Construction.

Shawn''s greatest joy in life was his wife and sons. Daddy was always content hangin'' out with Bud, Monkey, and his sidekick Keta. He had a creative imagination. He could see beauty in the most unlikely places and had a talent for creating art from whatever materials he had on hand.

He enjoyed lasting relationships with good friends. A favorite pastime was gathering with them around the campfire at his cabin in Fruitland. His best friend describes him as the most considerate and caring person that he has ever known. He was true and genuine. He will always be my brother. Shawn would give you not just the shirt off his back, but the whole closet.

He is survived by his wife Ruth Ann; his sons Asher and Greyson; mother Mary Darlington Mahoney; sisters Carrie (Hal) Hammond, Cherie (Quenten) Garcia, Jennifer Haycock and Jerilyn (Liberty Valiant) Haycock, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father and nephew Richard Reid Haycock. We''ll miss you Shawn Bug!

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Lindquist''s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 E. where visitation will be held Friday from 6-8 pm and Sat. 9:45-10:45 am prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at www.lindquistmortuary.com
