Kenneth Dean Lietz
November 3, 1940 ~ September 24, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Kenneth Dean Lietz on September 24, 2022. Kenneth was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and will be missed by all who knew him.
Kenneth was born to Earl Lietz and Mabel Straight on November 3, 1940 in Tomah, Wisconsin. He grew up in the town of Clifton on the family farm. In 1960, while working on a cherry farm in Montana, Ken’s friends dared him to asked out another Wisconsin native, Mary Clemmerson. He took that bet, and on March 4, 1961 Mary and Ken married in Rockford, Illinois. They were married for 61 years, and by each other’s side through thick and thin from start to finish.
Mary and Ken eventually moved back to Montana, and eventually moved to Utah in 1980. Ken worked in commercial plumbing for over 20 years. He raised four boys, John, Steve, Duane, and Kevin. After retiring, Ken enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, spending time in his swings at home, and spending time with the love of his life.
Ken was preceded leaving this part of life by his parents, sister Grace and brother Darold. He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Mary (Clemmerson) Lietz of Ogden, Utah; sister Gloria of Tomah Wisconsin; sons John, Steve (and Sherrie), Duane, and Kevin (and Ashley), all of Ogden, Utah; 13 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
He will be missed deeply, but remembered forever.
