Kenneth D. Lund, 87, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Thursday, June 25, 2015. He was born on May 6, 1928 in Plain City, Utah to Francis Marion and Elizabeth Martha Ellis Lund. He grew up in Plain City and spent his whole life in Plain City and West Weber.
He married LaVaun Hipwell on April 24, 1948 in West Weber, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They recently celebrated 67 years of marriage.
Kenneth worked as a road maintenance technician for Weber County.
He enjoyed his garden and raising cattle with his son and grandson. He enjoyed playing, coaching, and teaching his children and others how to play sports. He also loved telling the refs on television how to call the game.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, LaVaun; sons, Dennis D. (Mandy) Lund, West Weber; Kraig K. (Brenda) Lund, Plain City; daughter, Lisa L. (Rich) Robinson, Kettle Falls, WA; daughter-in-law, Lorraine Lund, Clinton; 15 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren; twin brother, Keith L. Lund, Plain City; and sister, Grace Fife, Ogden. He was preceded in death by his son, Brad K. Lund and five siblings, Beatrice, Phebe, Orla, Ellis, and Grant.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. at West Weber Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.
