KAYSVILLE a€" Ken Moore passed away peacefully in his sleep December 31, 2010, with his loving family by his side.

Ken was born March 7, 1926 in Waynesburg, PA to John Harlan and Jeannette Wise Moore. He moved to Dayton, Ohio at age 16 and then to Utah in 1952. He served in the U. S. Army Corp. in WWII, stationed in Germany and Japan.

He married Carolyn Critchfield March 23, 1947. She passed away August 30, 1983. He married LaRue Steed April 14, 1984 in Clearfield, Utah. She was a blessing in his life. They enjoyed 27 wonderful years together.

Ken worked for Hill Air Force Base as a supervisor in Training Devices and the F4 section and retired after 32 years of service. Ken enjoyed traveling, bowling, playing cards, crossword or jigsaw puzzles and handheld poker.

He is survived by his wife, LaRue, Kaysville, Utah, son; Ken D. (Carol Boswell) Moore, Henderson, NV, daughter; Lisa (Robert) Coulter, No. Las Vegas, NV, step-son; Jim (Sherrie) Steed, Warren, Utah, step-daughter; Connie (Gary) Sessions, Peterson, Utah, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister; Jeanne Lipps, 1st wife; Carolyn, step-daughter; Sue Mikesell and step-son-in-law; Ron Smith.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Lindquist''s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to service.
