Kenneth Llewellyn Palmer, 89, of Ogden passed away on February 12, 2016. He was born on September 5, 1926 in Ogden, the second son of Russell Anderson and Fay Thomas Palmer. He was raised in the Ogden area and graduated from Ogden High School in 1944.
He served in the Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged.
Ken married Lois Jackson on October 14, 1950. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on March 8, 1952. Together they raised five wonderful children. He cared for Lois tirelessly during her long illness.
Ken began his career in the flour milling industry at Sperry Flour and Feed in 1946 and retired from Pillsbury in 1983. He also served with the Ogden Police Department.
Ken was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was very loving and supportive of his wife and children. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening, and family get togethers.
Ken is survived by his children and their spouses - two daughters and three sons, Marie (Blaine) Williams, Roy; Karen (Brian) Belnap, Liberty; Steve (Kathy) Palmer, South Ogden; Bruce (Susan) Palmer, Vista, CA; and Owen Palmer, South Ogden; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Reid Jackson, Jackson, WY; and sister-in-law, Ruth (Bill) Duke, Roy; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, and a granddaughter, Dawn Marie Williams.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Logan City Cemetery.
