Kenneth Gale Petersen

Kenneth Gale Petersen, 76, passed away from congestive heart failure at the University of Utah Medical Center.
He was born November 14, 1943 to Gale West Petersen and Dorothy Myrtle Thurston in Ogden, Utah. He married Kathryn Joye Froerer on March 18, 1966 in Ogden, Utah.
Kenneth graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1961 and worked at Ogden City Fire Department for 30 years. He spent 6 years with the Utah National Guard.
He loved to read, travel, feed the birds in his yard, and spend time at his home in St. George.
Kenneth is survived by his wife and his son, Shawn K. Petersen; Gene and Marilyn Froerer, Don and Vanette Todd, Dave and Judy Heilman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, a special nephew, Donnie Todd; and a special niece, Pamela Hernandez.
The family would like to thank all the family, friends, and neighbors that have helped during this difficult time. Especially Judy and Dave for being there when he needed you.
The family would also like to thank all the medical personnel at Ogden Regional Hospital and the University of Utah Hospital and especially Dr. Gregory Almony.
To comply with his wishes there will be no viewing and no funeral. No flowers please, send a flower to a loved one or give your loved one a hug in his memory.
