Kenneth Leroy Price

Kenneth Leroy Price, just two days shy of his 80^th birthday passed away on November 2, 2023 at home with his wife, daughter and son-in-law by his side.

Ken was born November 4, 1943 in Brigham City, Utah to Kenneth and Arva Christensen Price. He was raised in Ogden, Utah. After school, he joined the U.S. Army, serving in the Vietnam War alongside his brother, Darrell, who lost his life during battle.

Upon returning home he met Joan Jaramillo and they married on March 29, 1969. Ken then helped raise Joan’s two sons as his own. Together they had one daughter, Jackie.

The majority of his career was spent as a commercial project superintendent with several construction companies, where he made many close friendships.

Ken had a magnetic personality. Those that knew Ken, knew he was a kid at heart and also a badass man that many looked up to.

The highlight of his life was being able to joke, tease and prank his family and friends, often those not knowing if he was serious or not. He had a heart of gold and loved all his family even though they all had worms!

Ken is survived by his wife, Joan, his son Richard (Wendy) Halling, daughter, Jackie (Jason) Empey, two sisters, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, special niece, Roxanne (P-Annie) Naylor and nephew, Richard (Itchy) Palmer

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Dolores Dickamore, three brothers, Darrell, Larry and Karl Price, his son, Doug Halling and granddaughter, Ashley Halling.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 6, 2023 at the West Weber Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Sunday, November 5^th from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
