Kenneth Gene Royster

Kenneth G. Royster, 87, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2010 at his home.

He was born December 5, 1922, in Glade, Arkansas to Arvil P. and Dona J. Edens Royster.

On August 21, 1942, Ken married Evelyn Van Boerum in Ogden. Their vows were later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was an active member of the LDS Church and served in many callings.

Ken served in the United States Air Force during World War II.

He worked at Hill Air Force Base and Union Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1980 after 40 years of service.

Ken volunteered at the Union Station Museum in Ogden.

He enjoyed refinishing furniture and electronics.

Ken is survived by a son, Greg (Pam) Royster, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and two children, Richard and Kendra.

Graveside services will be held Friday, March 5th at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist''s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd.

A viewing will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Lindquist''s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd.
