Kent Farrell Bingham
Kent Farrell Bingham, 55, passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 after a long illness at IMC in Murray. He was surrounded by family and was a beloved father, son, uncle, grandfather and friend. Kent was born on October 8, 1955 to Farrell and Zona Bingham and grew up in Plain City, Utah as the oldest of five. After graduation from Weber High in 1973, Kent joined the military, then deferred for two years to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Georgia. Upon returning from his mission, Kent resumed his military service with the National Guard and attended Weber State University, earning a Bachelor''s Degree in Business Administration, and later earned his MBA. Kent served honorably for 31 years in the Utah National Guard and after retirement worked for the VA hospital in Salt Lake City.
Kent was always willing to give a helping hand to friends, neighbors and family. He was active in his church and held many callings, loved to work on do-it-yourself projects and loved learning about history. He spent many hours traveling and finding historical sights to visit and visiting his children.
Kent is survived by and remembered by his mother Zona Bingham, siblings Craig and (Cindy) Bingham, Rochelle and (Clair) Mitchell, Keith and (Carolyn) Bingham, Jay and (Lori) Bingham, Corinne Bingham (wife of 28 years) children Melanie and (Preston) Palmquist, Chad and (Amy) Bingham, Russell Bingham, Brittany and (Matt) Sautter, his two granddaughters, Annelise and Ainsley Bingham and many nieces and nephews and dear friends.
