Kent Lee Britton, 66, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2022. He was born to Louis William and Ethel Elizabeth Swarm Britton, in Chicago, Illinois, on November 9, 1955. He served in the US Air Force from 1976 to 1977.

Kent married Jewel Mixon; they had three children, Andrea, Lyra, and Dylan and later divorced. He met his life partner, Michelle Barker, whom he was with for many years until her passing in December 2020.

He worked for Honeywell as a Technician. Kent enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dog training.

Kent is survived by his three children; mother, Betty; his brother, Barry and sister-in-law, Phyllis. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Sunday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment will take place at the Vandalia, IL Cemetery at a later date.
