Kenton Eugene Crumpley, 93, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Saturday, November 16, 2024. He was born on September 23, 1931, in Jerico Springs, Missouri, the son of William Lester and Mildred Georgie Hutchins Crumpley.
He served in the US Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After the war he continued to serve for 20 years, retiring in 1970. He worked in the explosive ordinance disposal better known as the “Bomb Squad”. He also worked for 31 years as a civilian in the Armament Directional Explosive Safety. While serving in the US Air Force, Kenton traveled to numerous places; after retirement he settled in Ogden, and finally Kaysville, Utah
Kenton married Jessie Miller Peterson on September 11, 1968, and she passed away on September 21, 1984. He married Valene Coleman on December 26, 1986, they were later sealed in the Bountiful Temple. Valene passed away on October 17, 2006.
Kenton was known as “Baldy”, Emmitt, and Patrick by his special grandsons, Tyson (Caitlyn) and Taylor (Kalisa) Brimberry. He was taken care of by Tammy (Steve) Brimberry and boys and Dave (Kelli) Quinley over the last 18 years.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Kenton is survived by his sons, Michael D. Crumpley of Shreveport, LA; and Terry E. Crumpley of Flower Mound, TX; 3 stepsons; 4 stepdaughters; 5 grandchildren. and 14 step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death his wives; parents; and sister, Jewel M. Seering.
We will miss him greatly!
Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. at the Ben Lomond Cemetery, North Ogden. Services entrusted to Lindquist's North Ogden Mortuary.
